Agenda

Morning

  • Host: Moses Rudende – Economist and Seasoned Media and Communications Professional
  • Co-Host: Awel Uwihanganye – Kampala Blockchain Summit Coordinator

Reginald Tumusiime – President, Blockchain Association of Uganda

  1. How digital finance has broadly developed, a ground-up progress which has taken institutions and regulators by surprise. Why CFAI got interested in it and how we approached our research into this field.
  2. The potential benefits we see in the deployment of digital processes, DLT-based financial services, including the potential for enhanced financial inclusion especially in developing markets that suffer from lack of access to banking services.
  3. Main aspects and conclusions from our work on valuation models and tokenization. Perhaps describe the different models we explore in this work.
  4. The main risks to consider and how regulators are approaching this development so far. Including recommendations that we think regulators in Sub-Saharan Africa should be mindful of.
