About
Kampala Blockchain Summit 2024
This year’s Summit builds onto the momentum set during the 2019 Africa Blockchain Conference that featured distinguished guests including the President of Uganda, Governor of the Central Bank of Uganda, and where the National Task Force on 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies was set up. The Association has since been involved in several taskforces within Bank of Uganda and the Financial Intelligence Authority.
This year’s Summit shall feature a keynote address from the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Uganda, as well as panel sessions with key stakeholders spanning regulation, enterprise, academia and industry experts.
Key speakers will also include the Head of Advocacy and Policy Research, CFA Institute EMEA, the Head of Utilization of the BSV Blockchain and other representatives from Capital Markets Authority, Financial Intelligence Authority, Financial Sector Deepening, Deposit Protection Fund, to mention but a few.
We will also demonstrate real world use cases of blockchain in areas such as traceability of coffee, payments innovations, as well as tokenization of asset classes such real estate.
Through these discussions, we hope to shape and encourage collaborative Blockchain adoption and governance, and promote education in emerging technologies.

- Main aspects and conclusions from our work on valuation models and tokenization. Perhaps describe the different models we explore in this work.
