Last week, Awel Uwihanganye – a member of the Advisory Board of CapitalSavvy and Reginald Tumusiime – the CEO of CapitalSavvy flagged off the first Cohort of the Blockchain Innovation Program. The last 10 weeks have been exhilarating; filled with lots of learning and networking experiences.
Many thanks to Kwame Rugunda, Damalie Mukiibi, Reginald Tumusiime, CK Japheth, Edline E. Murungi, David Gonahasa, Lyllian Nakasujja, Patrick P., Jay Gujral, Evan F. who participated at the launch event of BIP2022 in October 2022. In addition, we extend our gratitude to Robert KIRUNDA who was the key-note speaker at our first physical meet-up.
Specifically, the Cohort learned the following topics through the 10 weeks: Introduction to Blockchain Development, Hash functions, Merkle trees, Digital Signatures, Data and Databases. Special thanks to the lead facilitator Todd Price from BSV Academy who empowered us with knowledge across all the above topics.
In addition, we had a number of meet-ups where the students had an opportunity to collaborate and learn from each other; whilst learning from industry practitioners. who participated in various meet-ups to empower us with other important soft skills such as wellness, mental health, purpose/vision, strategy, company valuation techniques for startups etc.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our implementing partners: BSV Blockchain for providing a rich curriculum powered by BSV Academy and the Block Dojo for facilitating the Hackathon – where Bronson Bakunga emerged as the overall winner with the most innovative solution.
